What are your thoughts on this car? It has a lot of the options I'm looking for and would save me $$ in the long run by not having to buy/replace things.
Thanks.

Appears to be a nice, clean car. If it checks out in person to be what is described and condition confrimed, in my opinion "it is worth every dollar of the buy it now price"

Make sure you see it in person, or have someone you trust look at it if you can't! Never buy anything off Ebay believing another persons word...!! Been there, done that, never again!

I agree with Don, IF i'ts not a rust bucket underneath that paint, it's looks like a heck of a deal.
I don't think I ever saw those diagonal braces under the hood of a 69 before.

Other than the horn cap being on crooked, and the Buick rim in the trunk, I think it's definitley worth it but yes, check it out in person first.

Looked like a nice car, but why would you sell it immediately after putting four years and lots of money into it? I understand everyone needs money, but I would've had some fun with it first.

You said it, Don. That's a pretty sharp looking car, if it checks out in person.

Too many shortcuts for me for that price. If you're going to take the side molding off, take it all off. If you are going to move shifter to the floor take the indicator out of the dash. If you are going to take the A/C out, take it all out. Where are the rear arm rests. Like Dean, I've never seen those braces there before, It looks like a camero. Most 69 chevelles have horns mounted to the lower portion of the hood latch. Those are the things you can see, what about the things you can't?

(Just my 2 cents.)

I agree, some things are missing, like Bob said, where are the rear arm rests. The seat beats are not even close to original, and the front column pads that come down to the dash pad are gone. I believe the Steering Wheel has been changed, never seen on of those before. Minor, but the plastic shields are gone from in front of the windshield. Also, note the rust on the Master Cylinder, I would have to wonder how much rust it really had. Not that a car can't be fix, but why put this kind of money and leave an old Master Cylinder on it.
All in all, if it did check out, I do think that I would buy it.

Fred.

Straight body and good paint are the most important things. All that stuff you guys listed as missing or wrong can be fixed in a weekend for less than $500. I'd pay $12K for that car in a heartbeat.

Interesting. Camaros have them, but I have never seen them on a Chevelle -69, including mine.

looks like a great driver for the $$ and if you don't want to dump a whole lot of cash in at once that looks like the car. You can fix all that stuff and do what you want to it while you drive and enjoy it. My favorite kind of project. I got my 72 off ebay same deal looked and drove nice but needed a resto, but I can do most of it while I drive it.
I did go check it out before I bought it and gave him $1000 more than the current bid he had on ebay. $9000 which was a great deal. Of course now I have spent another $9000 on weekends getting it to where I want it to be.
Good Luck!

Not sure how much an all correct well optioned 69 Malibu might be worth but if everything was correct the price would be much higher in my opinion.

One thing for sure if the current trend continues, IF it's not worth the price today, it certainly will be tomorrow. :)
I wouldn't sell my 69 SS for $30,000. even though it's far from perfect.
