: help again please on taking body mount bushings out

I started taking the bolts off so I can slightly lift the body off the frame to change the bushings.
There is a bushing about half way down the door right behing the transm. mount in the frame that I can not figure out how to take out. Looking at it from the bottom of the car, through the frame hole, there is not a bolt there but just a rubber fitting. From the top it seems like it goes in the floor pannel but when I pulled the carpet there is no bolt there. If you can help me, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.

It's just a rubber spacer that pushes into a hole in the frame. The body just sits on top of it. There is nothing to disconnect or unbolt. When you lift the body up, it will just separate from the bushing. The rest should be so easy !

Thank you Steve. Is this the only spacer? I have done 2 in the front and 2 in the rear of one side and all of them have had bolts except this one.
Also, do I need to disconnect anything else other than the steering column prior to lifting the body?
Thanks again.

GM "A" bodies have eight body mount locations including the core support on each side of the car. On most models, the #1 location is intentionally left empty.
From the front of the car:

Core Support - Under the radiator

#1 and #2 - Under the front seat passenger's feet

#3 - Under the (front) door, usually does not have a bolt

#4 - In front of the rear axle

#5 - Directly above the rear axle, usually does not have a bolt

#6 - Between the rear axle and the rear of the frame

#7 - At the rear of the frame
[/list]
You do not have to disconnect anything other than the body mount bolts and the chassis ground straps at the #1 location to change the mounts.

Yanniz,

As Steve advised, the center one does not have a bolt. Lift the body and it should come out. Putting the new one in proved to be a little challenging, I put a little white lube on it so it would slide in easily.

As far as removing anything, I don't remember if I had the steering shaft out at that time. I think I did. As I recall I removed nothing else.

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys.
It looks like the front brake lines should also be disconnected. My master cylinder/booster is on the firewall and the proportioning valve is on the frame. Maybe I am wrong though.
Thanks
