New guy here so hey to all. Picked up a 66 Malibu that was 10 bolts shy of a frame off so that's what I'm doing. I'm working my way forward and have POR15'd the frame and rearend up to the front body mounts. Next comes the front suspension but there is battery acid damage to the frame. The hole for the radiator mount is still good but the area for the sway bar bracket is toast. I was planning on just welding a plate there...anyone else made a repair to this area??

I know a few guys have.. any possibility of getting that section off of a "Donor Frame" and replacing? If not a section of metal will suffice. However, make sure the replacement is of the same size and strength. Good Luck!

That's basically what I was wondering. I thought of the donor frame route but was hoping I could get by with just a patch for now until I can get a donor car. Thanx normie.

I don't see why not... as long as it's as strong.. but I'd wait for the other guys too show up and add they're 0.02... http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif
