i was looking in a parts book and it said that big block chevelles have taller body mounts in the front is this true and if so why, i have a 70 chevelle big block but the front mounts are the regular height, this car was a small block car before tho.should i change to the taller mounts if i do wont the fenders be out of alignment too?

This is news to me. I have purchased body mounts a couple times and never came across a different type for a big block. The only differences that I know of are the number of mounts and their position on the frame; this relates to various body styles and so on.

Body mounts? like the actual mounts that holf the body to the frame? I'd like to know where you got em. PLEASE! I may need 1 or 2

that is not true. they all use the same mounts. some cars use an extra bocy mount on the body towers that are under the firewall. i have found this condition on my 71 convertible only and it is a small block car. i have wagons, elkys and real bigblock cars and other convertibles that do not use this extra body mount bushing. so i dont know if there is a proven ryme or reason to weather you have the tower that uses the extra piece. you have to look at you towers to determine that.
