I'm having some small dents in my 1/4 panel repaired at a very good body shop, but am worried about the paint matching. The current paint was put on in 95 and matched to the factory color. I've been unsuccessful in contacting the former owner so I don't have any tech details of the current paint job, just the PPG/Ditzler paint code. What questions should I ask or discuss with the body shop. I'm thinking I rather live with the dents than mismatched paint. What do you guys think?
PS Paintless Dent Removal will not work since the dent is on a crease.

As long as you have the paint number that was sprayed, the shop or their jobber should be able to mix the same formula(if they use that brand of paint). If the dents are in the middle of the panel, there should be no problem blending the paint. If the dents are at the edge, next to the door or trunk, then it might be better to blend into the next panel as well. Shouldn't be a big issue, we blend paint every day in this line of work.
