i'm getting ready to start repairs on my 73 chevelle rear quarters.(heavy rust-through.)i want to avoid the expense and long,tedious hours involved in welding new quarters on.i want to use 3M Automix panel adhesive to attach some sort of backing panel on the backside of the quarters(easily accessed through the trunk)to fill the holes from the inside of the trunk.i then plan to even the surface(on the exterior side) using fiberglass filler.i'm a novice but i'm really getting the hang of body work and need to know what kind of sheetmetal i need.is this what they call a "skin" or "patch panel?"p.s.,i realize this type of repair isn't the best way for a lasting job,but i'm not up to welding and really want to avoid that route for now.thanks for any help! graemlins/waving.gif
