I was going to put them on my 69 but i was told the top line is just a little different and since they were nos Gm i should save them and put replacement panels on

I'm searching for a right rear quarter now, 69 convert.. The general word is I will probably have to use a hardtop quarter skin and trim the top line to fit.....
I will let the team know how it turns out.....

yes full quarters can be used and quarters for a convert are non-exsistant,outer wheelhouses have to be sectioned in because they are different also, lots of removal of bracing and such to do full ones if you can find them.....no luck in my searches.I have pics on how to do it,they turned out great.

I can send 3 pics at a time thru yahoo if you want to see how to do it.

You guys doing the verts can see it here. The outwheelhouse was sectioned, then sprayed with Morton Bedcoat(nasty ol rust aint never comin back).Full N.O.S quarters were trimmed down and installed.Fit like a glove. www.geocities.com/kevinmac_kjm/no6index.html (http://www.geocities.com/kevinmac_kjm/no6index.html)

Kevin, Good post. Those pics bring back a lot of memories. I followed the same method, but just like TomG I couldn't bring myself to cut up the old NOS quarters I had, so I went the full skin aftermarket route.
Same deal on the outer wheelwell housings, modified the aftermarket coupe inner quarters to replace the rust. It turned out fine but nothing like making do with what you got. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

I see that KSHE sticker on your garage wall..isn't that the Rock station out of St. Louis? IS WLS out of Chicago still a rock station?

Hope to meet you guys at CB03. You'll recognize the car http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif See if you can talk Ol Bill Pritchard into going...I've been trying but no luck so far.

You listen' Bill? http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
