! have a 1968 chevelle ss 396 with 15" tires when I get on it in first I have to shut down due to the tremendous wheel hop. This is a daily driver so I want to keep the orginal ride whatcan i do to stop the wheel hop?? One other thing there are 3 0r 4" spacers between the the shock and body of car but car sits level

First thing I would check is the bushings in your control arms. Are they original? If so, they need replaced. Are there any knuckles in the springs holding the coils apart? I f so, you may need to replace the springs. I would think that if someone put spacers on the shocks it was becasue the rear end of the car was higher at some point. So that tells me that the springs are collapsing.

We need more info on the setup. ANything been recently replaced??

springs and shocks have all been replaced bushing look old. I just bought the car out of california owner did not now much about engine or rearend.

those shock extenders have to go they are probably limiting down travel and causing suspention to bind
