John, Most of the sheetmetal regardless of who you buy it from comes from Goodmark.
Does it fit? No not really. Some parts better than others. If yours aren't too far gone you might consider fixing what you have or looking for original donor parts. IMO aftermarket metal is a last resort. Good Luck!

As far as NPD goes I have had very good luck with them over the years.

I bought my '69 Chevelle SS hood from NPD. No fit problems at all, I planned on buying my '70 SS hood from them too.

Good luck, I hope this helps.

NPD has the best prices on parts, they are the lowest that I've seen. They're quality is pretty good but when I ordered a passenger side door skin for my 72 chevelle it had alot of ripples in it, another place that I have had some good luck with is original parts group they have a great selection of parts and the prices are fair.

is the only way that you can order from them through the catalog?? I ordered it but I would like to see what they have. Because I STILL don't have the catalog.

BK72SS: thanks I will have to try OPG.

I won't buy from the other above mentioned supplier from past experience. As for NPD when you call (especially after regular business hours) be sure you know which supply house you are talking to. I ordered some parts that should have come from the CA location but ended up actually I was dealing with Florida. Added 5 days to the delivery time. Had a discussion with them via email and they were very receptive to my criticism and it worked out okay. I would buy from them again. My experience with O** was a while ago but they burned the bridge not me http://www.chevelles.com/forum/mad.gif Just could have been my experience though. Plenty of other good suppliers so I will not have to deal with them again. When considering your pricing be sure to look at shipping as part of the total. Goodmark stuff seems to keep improving from what I have seen and heard. Good Luck.

I bought several pieces from them for my '67. They are close enough to work with for the patch panels. The best fit was the full quarter that I got for the driver's side. There's not a panel on my car that didn't need either rust repair or repair due being in an accident sometime in it's previous life. I have had excellent service from NPD and they have the lowest prices around. Their website is www.npdlink.com (http://www.npdlink.com)

I got my patch panels for the quarters for the wife's 72 from NPD. The price was good. The problem is the gauge of the metal is not the same as that of the quarter. I played with it and it wielded up pretty good. Does not look bad at all.

I've purchased MANY parts from NPD in the past 6 years or so and have never had any problems. I use their North Carolina warehouse. I once ordered a set of front springs on a Tuesday evening around 6 PM, and had them in my hands Thursday afternoon! I had them shipped to my work address. I haven't had problems with Year One either, although the prices seem higher and the parts take almost a week to arrive. I dealt with the west coast guys a few times and have always had some minor issue crop up. Plus, the cost of shipping from one coast to the other was prohibitive.

Their hotline for catalogs is 352-378-9000

NPD is a great place to buy parts. I spent alot of money with them and have no complaints.

For sheetmetal, especially large panels, I would only buy from a place that I could see them and carry out. This way there is no surprises and best of all, no shipping charges! Even if you have to drive 50-100 miles or more to find a vendor, it's worth it. Or wait for a car show/swap meet.
