I need to replace the top on my convertible, and I have seen some kits with glass and some kits without. How hard is it to save the old glass and put it in a new top? Or will it cost me the $100 I save on the kit to have it put in?

Thanks all,

Ryan

I am pretty sure that they are stitched in to the top somehow. And you will have to find someone that has a heavy duty sewing machine to stitch it in place. You would probly be better off get the glass with the top.

The section that holds the rear curtain (glass or vinyl) is a seperate piece from the rest of the top. If the section is in good shape you can just leave it there and still replace the top.

A litte late My new glass was thermal sealed into the fabric. BAD415 is right if the color match.
