Hi Guys,

I went ahead and ordered a Sharpe Platinum today. Found a good price for it at $228 and some change. Here is a link if anyone is interested.

I'll post again and let you know how the transaction goes in case someone is worried about dealing on the internet.

Joe,
Good luck with the Platinum. We painted our 1965 Malibu with a Platinum about 4 years ago. I would buy a pressure regulator from Sharpe that measures the air cap pressure. 10lbs, I think. I would not use this gun for primer - go buy something cheaper! If you are painting with bc/cc, remember the dreaded isocynates and wear some forced air breathing apparatus.
Good luck, you will really like the Platinum.

Thanks John, I will go out an look for that regulator right now. Already looking for an E-bay special with a low CFM consumption and a big nozzle for the primer. The high pressure gun has been nice but the overspray is getting old.

Joe,

The Sharpe Platinum kit comes with a very nice regulator for the gun. Mine was delivered yesterday. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Cool, I looked it up on the site I ordered it from and saw that regulator. Kind of figured it was what John was talking about. Went ahead and order an Ebay special for a primer gun since I dont think I will be putting any Primer through the 1.3 nozzle.

Got my gun last night, came with the regulator that indicates nozzle pressure too. Very nice gun, and light. Place I got it from shipped it out pretty fast too. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
