How do I remove the chrome from ym 1970 Malibu? It extends from the door to the front of the fender.

Thanks
Keith

If it's never been removed before, it is held on by threaded studs with nuts. You can get at most of them, but there are two that are accessable only by pulling the inner fender away (unless you have super thin arms and hands!). Those are the two closest to the hood hinges. The first time I repainted my car, about 18 years ago, I used "push in" molding clips in those positions and only used the threaded ones on the ends. Made it alot easier to remove two years ago when we repainted it again. Hope this helps. Been there many, many times!
