I am in need of some hood inserts for a 1967 SS, however i notice a huge price flucuation, between $75.00 and over $180

So does anyone know the deal on these? Should i be asking who is the manufacture? If so who should i look for, and stay away from.

I bought mine from Year One for $149 and they are very good quality. I think the price fluxuation is the difference in the quality. "You get what you pay for" :beers:

While we are talking about these, is there supposed to be a foam gasket between the insert and the hood? If I recall correctly, the assembly manual shows some sort of seal, but I can't remember if there was one back when I took mine out, and I have never seen any sort of reproduction seals.

Sorry, what I should have said was I had my hood inserts rechromed, and I didn't see anybody offering those seals, and wasn't even sure if there was seals to begin with. So basically looks like the answer is yes.

Anybody ever see those seals offered seperately?
