I'm working with a 2K urethane primer and have always been under the impression that if you didnt topcoat within the alotted window, you could simply scuff/sand the primer and apply the next coat without any problems. I've never worried about applying the next coat of primer within a certain amount of time if I scuffed/ sanded the primmer before the next coat.
I'm now at the point of wetsanding, and thought that I'd go ahead and wet sand even if it were a few weeks before I could get to the BC/CC. From another post I read, it appears that I may need to topcoat within a certain amount of time even after wetsanding.
Do that sound right? If it's true, I better hold off on wetsanding until I'm ready to apply the BC/CC. ( I was hoping to wetsand and then apply the BC/CC in a few weeks). Thanks for any clarification.
