hello all
I'm slowly getting parts together for my chevelle... and this question is about the radio...
o.k. in the 60's the impala had a rear speaker that was in the top back of the rears seat...
In my chevelle I'd like to do the same thing that way I can add a subwoofer to the car(put it in the shielf in the trunk) and have the sound enter the car without it being boom boom boom in the trunk...
and not so load outside the car( so you don't hear the car from 2 blocks away going boom boom.)
I like the sound of the engine singing but on long drives I like my music and there is nothing better than runnin down the road with a boston c/d in your ear....
I don't want to cut the rear deck to do this the 6+9 rear deck holes will hold speakers but the low notes I like needs a sub...
Is there a vender that makes the speakergrills for the impalas or a vendor that sells the metal grill in sheets so I can build one.....
front I got kickpanels for speakers and the tiny dash holes...
not drillin the doors for speakers but maybe able to make lower door panels to house some speakers like the newer cars...
but for now I need a source for the rear seat grill parts as a centered grill in the rear seat back with an "SS" would look at home in the car and look factory..
