Hye guys, has anyone used the wheel lip patch panels from Ausleys? It looks like what I need, but not sure with this body stuff! My wheel lip is rusted, not to bad but it is just around the opening. The patch panel is 37x13, and do you think this would work to replace the rusted lip? Please help me guys!

Hi Dan,
I have one from NPD that I'm not using. I ended up going with the full 1/4. Give me a shout if your interested and I'll cut you a screaming deal to avoid the NPD 20% restocking fee.

I used the NPD ones on my car. You can see a couple pics on my website. My wheel lips were in bad shape, but the rest of the quarter wasn't bad. So we just replaced that section.

I Think John B said it ALL. it so depends how BAD your wheel wells are and how far up the 1/4 it's rotted. if it's just light a cut and hand formed strip welded in will do the trick. But if it's jumped out up far up the panel.. then a stamped patch can be made to fit and work out well...

ok, i will post some pictures of it later today. it doesnt run up the panel at all, you can barely see it, you have to feel it underneath the lip panel, but it forms around the whole lip.

I'd be interested in how these work, too. Seems some of us 68 guys are having wheel lip rust issues! Especially in the northern climates like Minnesota and New England.
