First owner was my father, I am the second.

ABout two years back I had the car stripped and repainted after a deer made contact with the front end of the car. The header panel and hood were replaced.

I recently had a little run in with a pothole the jarred the hood and the paint was chipped. This is when the possible problem was made aware to me.

How do I describe this.. ugh. Okay...
Down the center of the hood and header panel there is the body line. On the header panel the center line is in the shape of a peak that comes to a point. On the hood the center line is in the shape of a peak, but it is flat on the top. Is this normal? Or are one of the parts incorecct. I am trying to establish this before I pay to have the paint fixed. Please advise. or email for more info.

Thank You,
David

Without looking at it right now, I know what you are talking about. I have two '69's and on one, I'm in the process of doing body work. I think that the peak on the top of the header panel is rounded, while the peak at the top of the hood is flat, but when they are on the car they blend toghether well-it's not noticeable.
