Does anyone out there have the measurements of a drive shaft for a 70 chevelle SS with a 396 and tubo 400 tranny, also is the back bracket and spacer for the alter. the same on a bb as a sb. this is for a chevy. thanks steve

NO & NO.
I do not know the length, hopefully someone else does.
ALL accessory brackets between SB & BB are different. I mean all.

If I remember right, it is 56.675 (56 5/8) inches from center to center.

Make a measurement from the end of the output shaft of the trans to the center of the cap flanges on the rear end yoke. Do this with the vehicle at ride height. This is the length you need. Then go to your local driveline shop and have them make one up for you with a TH400 slip yoke. Should cost you about $220-250 for a brand new, balanced shaft. If you can't find anyone locally, e-mail me and I'll make you one where I work and ship it to you (most likely cheaper than the cost I mentioned above).
