My 72 Chevellle Malibu convertible was sold with a set of these wheels which do not look like the origianl Rallye wheel, but has five triangular shaped slots with a black outline. I do not have the caps. What rim is this off of and does anybody have a picture of the complete wheel. Thanks.

Just my guesses, but...........

If the wheels had 6 triangular slots I would think they were the mid 70s camaro wheels. see picture of blue wheel with tire mounted.

But with 5 triangular slots, I am thinking they were the BOP wheels. see pic of the bare wheel.

Starting with the 1980 models, the Malibu began using wheels like that as well. The 1982 Camaro & the new S10 pickup also began using those new wheels. I wonder if those are the wheels you may be talking about... They began producing them in 15x7 size for Camaros around 1987 as standard & the Monte Carlo SS in mid-83

Here's the debut '80 wheel that I be talkin' about (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/Cam/80Rallywheel.jpg)

Just for clarity, the JJ code is stamped on the inside of many wheels, so it does not help with identifying the application. It actually identifies the type of rim contour, according to the Chevy by the Numbers book. The code that will ID the application is stamped on the outside near the valve stem opening.

Thanks for the help. The code next to the valve stem reads- on the left side M 56 7 and on the right side FA J. I don't see anything on the build sheet that references the wheel code, only the tire code which was PL3. Any idea what they are?

I took another look at the build sheet and there is a reference in box 56- wheel trim, indicating code BW. I thought this help.

Box 56 will be for wheel covers (single code) or trim ring and center cap (two codes). It may not be labeled, but check the code for box 42. I think that might be for the wheel code in 1972. Does your sheet list ZJ7 in the list of options below the boxes? That would be listed if your car was equipped with rally wheels.

There is nothing in box 42 and there is no ZJ7 listed in the option codes,. Any other ideas?
