I was wonder if anyone has a picture of the correct oil pan for the '67 Chevelle SS 396 set up. The one I have is a 2 step pan and was told it may not fit. Any ideas?

I would also like to know this "correct" simple answer. I was walking the swap meet last weekend and was told MANY different opinions. I was told trucks fit, only factory dented in sides, thinner up front only, ect. I could not believe the different answers I got, it was crazy. I even call a local Chevy dealer and got no where. Seems nuts. Thanks for the above picture, but it does not show crossmember bumps from the picture angle, are they there? I also have the three step pan, but was told it was for an Impala and will not work. Since I have my front clip off, I'm just going to test drop the motor in to confirm. I also have another pan coming in the mail, it's suppose to be for a Chevelle, but also does not have the cross member bumps.

This should be such a simple answer.

Thanks,

MJ

This is the "Impala" oil pan that came with my motor. Just posting so others learn also.

Thanks,

MJ

Does anyone happen to know the GM part # for the correct 67 Chevelle oil pan for the 396?

Think I got the right P/N. Called the dealer and had to special order the pan. My local dealer wanted alot more than I thought. Asked why and he said his computer shows this part is slated to be discontinued. Ended up ordering this GM part at another dealer that gave me a better price. Thanks for all the help.
