I've been holding off on the day when I remove the vinyle top but it is soon to come. Its probably going to make me sick when I see the damage.
I know the material is glued on but how is the trim removed? I have a tool to remove the stainles window trim but is there one for the corner trim pieces? If so where can I get one?
Thanks for any help.

what year? on my 69 the trim (on the ends) are held on with a speed nut. down the middle of the trim, it is held on with plastic clips, the trim will pop off the plastic clips pretty easy, but you probably will break a few because they will be britle. not a problem since you can buy them from restoration supply houses or body shop supply stores. on the 69 I had to remove rear door panels and crawl into the trunk to get to the speed nuts.

On my '72,the corner pcs., and also the ends of the pc.on the decklid filler were held on with the nuts. They are easily accessed from in the trunk. The 2 front pcs were held on with some kind of push-in barrel nut. If the front pcs. on yours are held with speednuts, you may be able to remove the doorjamb vents to get to them, if your hands are small enough. If not, remove the panel. All the rest was held on by the plastic clips that Michael mentioned. Hope this helps, Dennis
