Okay guys...this is what I have found so far. 1970 Chevelle with 71 front and back end.

I checked all the wires in the trunk harness (running from driver side floor board, under carpet, and under the driver side quarter into the trunk to connect into the rear light harness.

All wires besides the light green have power, a few are quite dim on the test light but they have power non the less. So theres my brake light problem, because its not getting anything into the sockets.

Alright, so I pulled up the carpet in the drivers side floor board and checked the lime green wire there..Nothing...Nadda..

Then I checked the juice to the brake switch. Removed the switch from the brake assembly so there would be no pressure on the switch and power would be running through the switch out the white wire..and it is...Got power there.

I also have no turn signals at either end. Front or rear, just have running lights at the rear, and fronts burn but dont flash. i have power at the two pink wires, and the purple.

I've been told the brake wiring, and turn signal wiring both run through the Turn Signal Switch in the column, Is this where my problem is? I called the parts store and they ordered me one, The whole assembly with wiring they said...Does that mean it will have the cancel cam with it also? Because I don't beleive mine was in the column when i took it apart. What leads me to beleive it's the switch among all this other is because I don't have any hazards either, and I have replaced both the hazard and the turn signal flashers.

Thanks so much guys.

The switch won't come with the cancel cam.
The light green wire normally won't have power on it. That wire runs the reverse lights and won't have power unless the shifter is in reverse.
Step on the brake and measure the green and yellow wires coming out of the turn signal switch. Both should have 12 volts to ground.

I will check in the morning, Well...I have lime green and blackish wires running into my brake lights....What's up with that?

I've got the switch, I'm going to test it out tomorrow.

Thanks man

Dark Green is the right brake/turn signal wire.
Yellow is the left brake/turn signal wire.
Light green is the reverse wire for both the left and right reverse lights.

I've replaced the switch, and I can now hear the flasher click, along with I have blinky blinky on the rear driver side signal, none on the front though, and none on the left at either end can't even hear the flasher click. Getting some of the bugs out. Where do we go from here?

Thanks again

Step on the brake and measure the green and yellow wires coming out of the turn signal switch. Both should have 12 volts to ground.
The connector is the long thin one on the turn signal switch you just replaced.

I'm getting juice on my test light on those wires.

Thanks

How about the end of the intermidiate cable? That's the cable that runs under the carpet and behind the back seat. There's a connector inside the trunk that the rear harness plugs into.
See power on both the yellow and green wires on that connector?

Yes, power

Then how about measuring those wires at the rear light bulb. They have power back there? Are the rear light bulbs installed during these measurements? If the rear lights were out, sometimes you will see power on those points you measured but power will disappear if you install the bulbs.

I think it's the sockets, going to change them out tomorrow..

New problem- running lights are staying on as long as there is a battery on the car...

Thanks man

Pull the tail light (running light) fuse and see if that makes them go off.
