Has anyone ever tried to rework a '68 outer grille extension to fit on a '69?

Not that I don't have enough things to work on, but I noticed the '68 appears to be stamped aluminum, and '69 is plastic.

My guess is there is too much difference between two, with mouldings, etc., to make it work, but I thought I'd ask.

I have looked @ the two and they are pretty different. but you could add a 68 grille in there & it would work pretty good smile.gif .

They are pretty different though, i didn't know that 69's were plastic You sure thats just not the repro's?? Check ebay for the originals i see them go fro about $20 for the pair which isn't to bad.

If you want the cooler car,why not just buy a 68 instead of trying to turn a 69 into a 68... :D :D
