Canon BJC-4400. Prints fine when you are on a page and go through print command. But on SOME sites when you highlight and try to print "selection" it prints the first and last lines and everything in the middle is blank. Try it again and you can print the complete page, but not highlighted portions.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and drivers twice with no change. I'm thinking its something in the internal OS or memory of the printer since it does not seem to be random on selected site (by my luck the ones my wife prints off of the most!)
Any ideas?? Thanks Patrick

I don't think the problem is your printer, or even anything in your computer. Printing from html is a iffy proposition at best. HTML is a language designed to display dynamically on a wide variation of browsers to a wide variation of different resolutions people choose for their monitors. Because of that, what you see isn't what you would see on a different resolution monitor, or what your printer might think it should be printing. I have seen similar problems to yours on many computer and printer systems.
When I want to print something important from a website, I copy it to the clipboard and paste it into a different application that is designed to print in a WYSIWYG mode. If it is text, paste it into a text editor. If it is graphics, paste it into a good graphics program, and it will work.

Always look for a printer friendly link on web pages.

Had this happen to me once. Do this:
Hit:
Start
Control Panel
Internet Options
Advanced tab
Scroll down a little bit more than halfway. There is a little section for "Printing". It has a little printer icon on it. There will be a single box that says, "Print Background Colors and Images". It needs to be checked. Then give a printing job a shot.
I have no idea what happened in my case, but it would print the header and footer of the page, but nothing in between. And yes, sometimes it would print correctly on stuff I didn't care about, then when I REALLY needed something....it was a no go. Anyway, I dug around and that box was unchecked. I checked...and VOILA, I was good to go. Somehow it got reset or something.
Just something to try. Holler back if it works. I'd be glad to know that I helped someone.
Good luck!

Thanks for the tips. I tired cutting and pasting and it does the same thing. Has actualy gotten worse, now is only printing every other line. Its about 6 year old and not worth my time to mess with it so this week end we go printer shopping. May get a copy/fax/print so I'll have one at the house. Thanks everyone. Patrick
