I just removed the heater box from under the dash [ '71 Convertible, no A/C]. The firewall insulation between it and the firewall is beat. I want to replace it. Looks like jute with vinyl glued to it. Don't need to replace the entire piece of insulation that runs all along the inner side of the firewall. Does anyone know where I can get a piece of this stuff that I can cut to size or know of any supplier that sells just the section that goes around the heater box opening ??
Also, the heater box door, that controls air flow to the core has a foam gasket on it. Where can I get one of those ? Finally, what is the best sealant to use to seal or "pot" the core back into the box ? Thanks for any help !!!!
