Just had the 4-sp trans for my 66 rebuilt and installed. Took it for a ride yesterday. All sounded and felt good except when I depress the clutch pedal there is a high pitched whining noise that goes away when I let the clutch out. Any idea of the problem? Jim

Sounds kinda like a bad throwout bearing. Did you change it while the trans was out?

No didn't change the through-out bearing. Hadn't noticied any noise before. Maybe I should just turn up the radio. Won't make the same mistake twice.
