I bought a quart of POR-15 Chassis Coat Black and Black POR-15 Rust Preventive Paint. Should I also buy some of that Metal Ready cleaner and spray that on my undercarriage before I paint it? Should I just go on and paint without it? Thanks.

I recomend using a wire wheel to clean the whole surface as much as possible (get rid of ALL paint and loose rust), then cleaning/degreasing, drying, etching with metal ready (optional, but worth it if you see any shiny metal), washing with a little water and a clean rag, allowing to dry thouroughly then Por-15 it. Allow it to dry as recomended then apply the chassis black.

Some people dont like it, but if you follow the directions it'll look excellent and last a long time.
