Was a Windshield Washer Fluid bottle available for '69's? This is the glass one that held concentrate fluid that is mixed with water and added to the plastic one. If so, where was it located and was this standard or an option?

My 69 did not have this glass water bottle. I bought it from the original owner in 76. It only had the plastic bottle. I still have the original one on my car.

I have seen pictures with them mounted but was wondering if they were correct for a restoration or just added for looks. More help needed on this subject.

They were available in '69. The first one that I owned ('76-'84) had a plastic one as does the one I own now. The bottle mounts behind the driver's side headlights. I can provide some pics if you like.

No, what krum is talking about is the three-sided glass bottle that mounts to a clip on the driver's side inner fender (at least it does on my 65). This bottle with a white, red, blue and black label contained concentrated windshield washer solvent. Back then you couldn't buy $.99 bottles of blue fluid, you bought this concentrate from GM and kept it in the glass bottle. When the washer reservoir was empty you poured in some concentrate and thinned it with water.

If I had a good picture of the one in my car I would post it. (SEE BELOW FOR A LINK NOW).

I honestly don't know if these were installed in '69's. I do know they were both factory and dealer installed. All parts (mounting clip, bottle, label, cap) are available as reproductions. If you are lucky you can sometimes still find the bottles in junkyard cars. I found mine that way since the original was missing.

Try this link then use the "next" button to scroll through the pictures (see my cute puppies as well if you like!). In the first picture you can see the bottle in question in the upper right hand corner. It appears in a few other pictures as well though many of the photos are a little on the dark side. Keep in mind, this is a '65, not a '69.:

Rich is correct. I'm asking about the 3-sided glass jar. I have seen these but do not know if they are correct for a '69 . More help needed please.

I just looked in the official Custom Features Accessories catalogue dated October 1, 1968 and that Optikleen auxilary washer bottle is not listed. I own two 69's and neither of them have it. Rod Madiros owned a heavily optioned 69 and it also didn't have it. I don't think it came with the car or was a factory option.

I don't know if you are still looking but I found these pictures for a '67.
