Had the dash out this past winter, just drove the car yesterday. The turn signal seems to high to the left. Wonder if I could have messed up things when I had the dash out. Anyone know where it should point, say 9 O'clock or 10 o'clock? A Picture would be helpfull. Also How can I change the position? Thanks, JIm

I had the column dropped down on my 64. There is a notch in the column and a tab in the mounting location to have the column in the correct position. It sounds like your column is rotated.

Any suggestion on how to get it back to the correct position? Thanks.

You should just be able to loosen up the column and rotate it so it sits like in the picture above. Thats what I did on my 66.

James,
I think what MedicTed was mentioning...
The "strap" that holds the column to the lower dash, should have a little tab sticking up, and this should register in a small knotch or slot in the column... This will also hold the column the proper distance from the dash/firewall...
Its been a long time since I have looked at this area...
