hi, does anybody know how to replace the rear bumper for my '72 chev. My original bumper has a dent in it & i'm going to replace it with a whole new bumper. any info would help.

Remove the rear valance, license plate holder/fuel tank door.

Unbolt the license plate light assy. from the bumper

Remove the 2 bumper to body bolts above and on both sides of the fuel tank filler tube

Remove the 2 bolts (one on each side) of the lower bumper bracket to body bolts and pray that the cagenuts hold while doing so

Here's where you may need a helper: From inside the trunk remove the bumper bracket bolts (2 on each side)and pull the bumper out far enough to unplug the wiring harnesses from the tail light assys. and remove the bumper and brackets as an assy.
If I left anything out, someone else may hopefully chime in. Hope this helps, Dennis

I think you got it all but it is not absolutely necessary to remove the valance. Should look something like this when you get done.
