I have a hunch that stock length pushrods won't work on my new motor.

How does one determine what pushrod length is needed? I can provide more details if needed... I'm more interested in the process of determining it than having someone figure it out for me :)

thanks,
Brian

If you do a search, you will find a bunch of great info. I like to use a black marker on the stem, watch the pattern and then use adjustable checkers.

Here is a link for the Lunati website. I used my roller rockers and made my own adjustable pushrod from a stock length pushrod. This method worked pretty good for me. http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/TechServ/TechInfo/IECVTTech1.html

I did the black marker trick and used a stock pushrod next to an adjustable one. Protopline called for a +.100 pushrod. I also swapped to Harlandsharp full rollers at the same time as head swap. Stock length was fine for me.
