I ran the numbers through a couple of comp ratio calulators and all come up basically the same. I know guys are running some large cams in the ZZ502 motors, but the CR doesn't seem to support published data.
Input data:
4.47 x 4.00 BorexStroke
1 CC net Dome
.020 Piston/Deck
.040 x 4.54 Gasket
118CC head yields 8.75/1 (as advertised)
112CC (118CC w/ .030 mill) yields 9.11/1
110CC (ZZ502) yields 9.24/1 (advertised is 9.6/1)
This has been discussed here briefly before, but I would like to know what experience anyone else has had with these. I am considering a mild cam upgrade from the 211/230 that comes in the 502HO. Nothing too big, I would like to maintain 13 - 15" vac at idle, but I tend to think this motor could go 20 degrees larger at not even miss the bottum end.
