Im ordering a new gas tank sending unit for my 72 malibu. It had a 307 and im putting a 350 in it. OPG has 2 units for my year. One has a 3/8 return line and the other has a 1/4 return line. The original one i have has a 3/8 metal fuel line coming out of it but i dont see any return lines on the sending unit itsself. Does this 307 malibu have a different sending unit than the rest?

blaster when i took my 307 out and gas tank there was no return lines either, when i put my 350 in just make sure the fuel pump is the non return type and make sure you have a vented gas cap. i didnt see any reason to spend the extra cash on sending unit with the return then you got to run a return line also just more time and money. if your sending unit is good your ok. glad to see your back on the project. storm

Does OPG or anyone else sell the non return sending unit? The original that i have is bad. Im trying to get back to my project car. My grandmother died and that set me back emotionally and have been doing house projects. Im a teacher so 8 weeks i will be on summer break and i will get alot done then.

blaster check ground up web site they have them non return line and return line item # xsu-t72 non return and return line xsu-173. thats for reproduction about 60.00 bucks they also have gm about 140 bucks. storm
