Have an LS6 with a 444 bellhousing, correct flywheel, stock clutch, short pilot bearing, new gm fork.
Problem: Can't get any play between the pilot bearing and pressure plate. If I back the ball out flush I barely have play. Anybody ever had this problem?

dont know if it helps i had the problem when i installed my tranny,figured out they make 2 different balls.i had the shortone,,ordered the right one from our sponsor ,everything worked out perfect after that,,,good luck....

I think this bellhousing was out of a Corvette. Ordered a new ball from GU. Hope you're right. Thanks.

Just looked it up there are two different sizes. 1.48" and 1.78". Must have the longer one.
