Where are all the "secret" hiding spots for VIN numbers located on a 66 convertible ? I know there is suppose to be a frame number, but not sure where to look. Are there any others on the body?

Fram # is located on drivers side, top of frame just to the rear of the body mount just behind the rear wheel, hard to clean and read you'll need a mirror and be able to read up aide down. It should match the vin tage on the door pillar. . No other vin #'s on the body. The cowl tag has the model number as well as certain body panels have the model number stamped in them. There are sometimes vin #'s on the block pad, transmission main case if a muncie. Lot's of fakes out there.

I found VIN numbers on the firewall behind the heater box on a '71 Malibu when replacing a heater core. Not sure if its the same on a '66.

It's not the same on a 66 SS.

Perhaps you can help him out a little on some known locations.
