Has anyone installed 15" SS wheels on a '69 Chevelle? I know the originals were 14", but, I like the handling of a wider tire (60's) and figured to get a width wider than the original F70's would reduce the tire's height and 14" is kinda small already. Does the larger rim look odd? or is it a small enough difference to not matter. Any pics?
Thanks,
Rich

I've seen many 69's with the 15" SS Wheels, and a lot of 70's. 15x7 looks good, 15x8 will have a small gap from the beauty ring to the wheel, barely noticeable, 15x10 will have an even larger gap from the ring to the wheel. I have 15x7 235/60 up front and 15x8 255/60 out back on my 70.

I have used them on most of my 69 and 70 cars, they look great, most people can not tell the difference, I usually run a G-70-15 tire when using stock, and 275-60-15 on the back and a 235-70-15 on the front when using radials, the 2 tire sizes are exactly the same diameter so it doesnt look off kilter, see my web page below,, I have a set of 15x8s that are pretty much brand new I dont need ,,if you do,,,
