I'm going to be painting the door jambs and insides of the fenders on my 70. Does anyone have suggestions on the best approach?

Should I mask off the insides of the doors and fenders, paint and clear, then hange them back on the car?

I'll need to have the fenders and doors back on the car when I shoot the entire car so that I dont have variations in color since I'll be using a metallic color.
