I was wondering if your supposed to put the glass back in the doors before hanging them? Does the added weight of the glass make much of a difference? The body shop painted all my parts separate on my 70 SS and will assemble next week.

Chevy didn't.....Seriously though, when I paint cars, they are naked. All add ons go in after paint. One of the other local restoration shops here in town paints their cars last, cars are completely assembled and running, so as not to risk scratching the paint! Take care and add the glass after the fact, it beats overspray on everything. JMO http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Thanks Rick. That's what my painter said but I just wanted to check.

On the speedvision show Dream Car Garage, it showed them hanging the door with anything the door empty, but they had weights inside to approximate the weight of the door assembled for proper door closure adjustments..good luck!
