Is there anyway to look up what heads came on a motor? I am looking at a completely stock 454 whose casting number is 14015445. The casting date is E-22-82.Came out of an 82 4X4 (I guess a Suburban). Anyway what I am getting at is what heads came with this motor and would the be worth building for a hot rod BBC?
Thanks,
Chris

The rear ledge if the block. Usually on the rear ledge passanger side, but some late model blocks have it on the driver side.
Also, I have learned this here on TC, but the only 'stupid' question, is the one not asked (yea corny, but I find it true)

not necessarily peanut port. i bought a 454 out of a 4 door 1ton that had 781 heads. best to pull a valve cover. to be sure. on another note i have a 454 with 236 peanut ports that came out of a 75 monte.
