I am prepping my door for primer, and per the tech data sheets for my etch and surfacer, calls for S-W R7K156 surface cleaner be used. I've read MARTINSR's post on Surface cleaners, and have a one more question. The tech data sheet for this surface cleaner says "Should be used before sanding only". But after sanding, grabbing, touching, etc., shouldn't something be used to wipe the bare metal down before initial etch and between etch and surfacer? I guess my real question would be is this cleaner too strong as a pre-etch cleaner? Should I also buy a "weaker" cleaner for this purpose? Thanks again, couldn't do it without this site!

Nevermind, i searched more on the tech datasheets and found my own answer. Need Ultra-Clean R7K158.
