I noticed that NPD has a two piece trunk floor that extends further toward the front and rear of the car, which my car's rust dictates that I need. Two questions arise, are the trunk floors universal to all 68 to 72 A bodies (I have a 68 Skylark Convertible) and how are the parts that NPD sells? I realize that NPD is primarily a Chevelle type source but would these parts work in any 68 to 72 GM A-body?
Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks,
Dale

I dont know for sure if the trunk floors are the same I would assume that they are. As for the quilty of that floor I have used it twice. The fit is great and covered all the rusted areas so no patch panels needed to be fab. Some of the other floors out there need additional patches welded together to get the rust fixed but these extend outward enough to fix the rust areas that commonly occur in the A-bodies.
Just keep in mind that any part will need some type of trimming or slight reshaping to get the proper fit and alignment. I had to slightly reshape the floor around the area where the inner wheel wells weld to it, nothing major just some slight cutting and hammer work, took me about 10 mins to get the right fit...Eric

What did you use to weld it in and did you butt weld it or overlap?
Thanks, I appreciate your response.
