I recently seen an ad for Krylon, I believe,(I may be wrong about the brand name) that now has a special paint just for plastic. It's called "Fusion". As for the vinyl, I've had good luck with Mar-Hyde Vinyl Color. I even used it on a seat once. As long as you clean the surface properly, it holds up very well. Hope this helps, Dennis

One of my local paint supply store and Eastwoods both carry SEMS vinyl die. Works great and has the same color as the vinyl on my seats / door panels. I used it for my dash as well. Landau black it is a low gloss black and looks great.

For good bonding the part has to be absolutely clean. I've used Spray 9,then washed the part clean with water, then washed it again with TSP mixed in water then washed clean with water alone and thoroughly dried. Never had a problem. VHT and SEM products have worked equally well for me.
