I just got my rear lower qrt patches from Hinshaw's and the front part that goes to the wheel well fits great, but the back part doesn't extend far enough to mold into the bumper on either side(they cut in at almost a 45 instead of squaring off to meet the bumper as my originals do. I guess I could cut them as this is not the bad spot but I hate to do this. The code for these was CH300 Left and right and they said they fit either a 68 or 69. These patches also say "Parts Duplicator Made in Wheatonville,CO" on them are these goodmark as Hinshaw advertises?

They are not the same.Where the ends of the bumper wrap around are different on the quater.68's are slanted and 69's are square.

You've been burnt by the patch panels as many of us have. I have used panels behind the front and rear wheels of a 69 and a 72 - none of them fit worth s**t.
Looking back at each time I regretted ever trying them. I have since bought a 36" brake and will always fabricate them in the future from 18 gauge rather than that crappy 20 gauge they use.
By the way, I likely spent about 4 hours/side fabricating and finishing the part that goes from the patch panel to the far end of the fender behind the bumper on the 69. Lots of work.

I bought mine from NPD. They sell different ones for 68 and 69. As stated above they are definately not the same. Mine actually fit quite well for patch panels. The only problem I had was they didn't extend far enough on the ventral surface and that is were I had a lot of rust. I will need to fabricate a piece for this area on both sides.

5 Years later I am blowing the dust off this thread :)
I am done with dad's frame off and ready to finally finish the Chevelle.
I sold these patches on Ebay to some sucker:) Where can I find the best quality 1969 rear lower qtr. patch pannels REGUARDLESS of PRICE! I would much rather pay $20 more each and save 8 hours of time makinga bad repop fit :)
TIA, Zach

Forget about the patch panels and buy yourself a full repro quarter panel. You will get a better job in the end with far less filler work.Sometimes the long way is the quick way.I have done 3 sets(6) of full quarters on a 2 different 69 chevelles and the fit was pretty good.I have been a paint and body tech for 20+ years and even nos parts need to be tweaked.

No matter where you buy quarters from they're all made by the same factory.
