I need to take the winshiled out of my 71 chevelle and was wondering the best way to do it with out breaking it? Thanks,

I used a piece of piano type wire wrapped around two wooden poles like a saw. Worked well for me!

If this windshield isn't very new, think about calling a glass shop for a new one. There is nothing as nice as looking out over you hood thru a nice new perfect windshield. They really don't cost that much.

use wd40 to break down adhesive
work in with plastic putty knife
windshield will push right out with ease

i opted for a new windshield also. on the corners you could see the cloud arear's due to age. now i have a clean pit and mark free view out the front. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
