On my 70, My hood rises upwards near the windshield and doesn't align with the fenders. I have seen this issue on many of the 70's.
What do I do to fix it? Is it the hinges or perhaps aged, stressed & weak hinge springs?

Steve, I have seen this on many cars, even on supposed show winners. Did you do a search on this topic yet? I seem to recall this topic was discussed before.

Make sure your hinges are well lubricated...I replaced my hinges & spent hours trying to get everything adjusted properly (had the same situation you describe)...only to find out that when I lubed them, my problems went away! You may also need to adjust them a bit...doesn't take much.

Your hinges could be worn out but are probably out of adjustment. Mine did the same thing and I couldn't get it right but my body & paint guy didn't have a problem.
