Just put on Accel 8.8mm Race spark plug wires and the boot seems to get alot hotter than I thought the other plug boots did. Is this normal? Did I screw something up? How hot is too hot? Thanks. Checked my K1500 plug wires to compare and I could keep my finger on the boot -- but couldn't keep on the Accell with out PAIN. No pain, No gain. Thanks again.

are the boots different than your old ones. they just might be bigger and closer to the manifold than the others. but if they dont melt i dont see any problem
