Well driving around the chevelle today I kinda punched it and the mufflers and pipes blew off! I had them clamped but I guess I have to have them welded now:)

those straps from dynomax are pretty good. Were you using the regular U bolt clamps?

i had that happen to me after i removed the very restrictive 2.25" tailpipes on my 66. i romped on the car and it got real loud, had to cut the muffler hanger and ride home with only one muffler.

now i have a fully welded 3" system to dumps, it isnt going anywhere anytime soon.:thumbsup:

yes I was just using the standard u clamps, I think i am just gonna drive it very cautious to the muffler shop

This has happened to me with my contour twice now. This weekend I'm welding it on.
