Just wondering if anyone has tried to put a conv. top on.My friend is doing a 65 chevelle and is on a budget.He is worried that it might be too big of a job.

It is too big of a job. There's alot more to it than you think. If you want it to look good, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND having a professional do it. I thought I could do it myself, and ended up wasting money. I finally gave up and had a pro do it. Looking at his work, there were alot of things I would have missed or not done correctly. Even though I had read books on how to do it. Yes it may run you in excess of $800, but it's worth it, plus they will waranty the work. JMHO
