I am swapping from an SBC to a BBC. I bought the BBC from a friend. It had a PS pump on it but since he didn't have a power steering gearbox/pitman arm he took it off. The brackets were in the crate of misc. parts and I'm trying to use them on mine. The mounting style is the alternator on passenger side and PS pump in it's normal location. It's a long water pump, the PS pump has an internal resevior...any help?? Thanks!

I think there was another thread recently asking this same question and someone posted some pics. Try a search. Also, if you have a factory assembly manual, that should help too. That's what I used.

Thanks, I tried a search, but I'll try some different words. The manual has a few pics but they don't seem to make sense--but either way these brackets had to have worked somehow since they were on it before..

I found this one. Hopefully it helps.

I just went through this putting a 502/502 in a 66. I had to fab a couple of the adjustment brackets and replumb the heater hose coming out of the water pump, but it came out looking like it was a natural, w/ Alt. on the pass. side and the PS on the driver's side and they each set nice and low. I can email a picture or 2 if you want. OLDED
