Not sure how correct it is, but, I used Krylon Semi-Flat Black on my 71' grill and it looks great.

I was gonna ask the same question almost .The color is whatever "you" want, but what about cracking and peeling ?What is the proper way to get the surface ready?A friend
told me to use Emron paint .He said it was
some tough stuff!I would just as soon use a
spray can but will it hold up? Thanks ,Mark

Our last fight was my fault: My wife asked me "What's on the TV?"
I said, "Dust!"

Another vote for Semi flat Krylon here. It's durable and easy to touch up. If you want to be exactly correct Eastwood has some good products.

I'm about to repaint mine and I'll either use the Krylon or a semi gloss trim paint made by SEM. The paint supply store is proud of that stuff though, it's almost $10 as compared to Krylons $3.

I bought a can of SEM trim black, haven't done my grill yet, but have used it before and it is good stuff.

I used SEM plastic prep, sand free, and landau black. I'm very pleased with the results.
